Drs. Marjan Lubbers MSOD

Marjan Lubbers holds the position of Director Executive Education at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. In this position she (co-)developed and is now responsible for all open enrollment executive education programs in the area of governance-, board-, and leadership-development. These programs aim at instructing a range of managing directors: from non-executives and executives to managing directors and potential managing directors.

 

She is Director and co-developer of the New Board Program. She also develops ”tailor-made” in-company programs for specific client organizations, especially in the area of corporate governance.

 

Marjan Lubbers started her career as a policy advisor for educational innovation at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She continued her career at the Open University of the Netherlands - from the start of the OU in 1983 - where she was responsible for building up all academic tutoring activities. After a position as Director Executive Education within a Dutch training institute for construction companies (‘Bouwcentrum Rotterdam’), Marjan launched her career in Executive Education at Nyenrode in 1989. She used to design customized, high potential programs for a number of larger Dutch corporate companies, and she has been the Program Director of the Young Management Program (now “Leadership Development Program”), which she has developed and run very successfully for 15 years.

 

Marjan Lubbers holds a MSc in Economics from Erasmus Universiteit (Drs), Rotterdam and a MSc in Organizational Development (MSOD) from the Graziado School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University, Los Angeles, the number 1 ranked program in the U.S. in the area of OD.

 

Marjan is member of the board of the Stichting Young Captain (issuing each year the Young Captain Award), being responsible for the Young Bilderberg Conference, a yearly joint event of Nyenrode Business Universiteit and the Stichting Young Captain. She is a board member in several ‘hofjes’ in Amsterdam.
