René Tissen has been Professor of Business Studies at Business Universiteit Nyenrode in Breukelen since 1993 and is an advisor to the board. Between 1997 and 2003 he was Managing Partner of KPMG Knowledge Advisory Services and has held various international board, management and advisory functions for both business and government.

In addition to a large number of articles, Tissen has written various management books, including Value-Based Knowledge Management (1998), The Knowledge Dividend (2000), Weightless Wealth (2000), Telling It Like It Is (2002), Zero Space: Moving Beyond Organizational Limits (2002), The Seven Deadly Sins of Management (2002), The Inhuman Touch (2004) and ‘De Toekomst van Management (2006) (the futire of management). Translations of Tissen’s work have been published in over 10 countries.
