Mr. Zsolt Barczy is a Program Manager, Lecturer and PhD aspirant at the Strategy Center at Universiteit Nyenrode. He is an alumnus of the school (graduated in 1995 as an IMBA at Nyenrode). Prior his MBA he finished a BBA at the (now) CEU (Central European University in Budapest, Hungary), and holds an engineering degree, specialized in shipbuilding.
Mr Barczy has experience with start-ups (with active contribution to the start-up of S.C. Johnson Hungary, Microsoft Hungary, and various other ventures), and served as project manager and MIS consultant before becoming the country manager of TradeARBED (today: Arcelor-Mittal), the Luxembourg-based steelworks in Hungary. He served as Financial Controller at the Hungarian Telecom (today: T-Com Hungary) shortly before engaging on a ten-year assignment in China.
He was consulting startups and various foreign and Chinese ventures about business strategy since 1997 in Hong Kong and China. He was the senior advisor for a Canadian business education center, instructed Information Technology Management as part of the Cambridge/Beijing University CMA (Cambridge Management Award) program in Beijing.
Zsolt is the business director of the China office of Mastermind, a Hong Kong based strategy consulting company since 2003 and had overseen the various strategic challenges global ventures faced in their China operations.
Mr Barczy is managing the Global Strategy Program at Nyenrode University. The GSP (Global Strategy Program) is aimed at multinational and global operations (or companies planning to become such) to align them with the current best theories and practices, enabling them to improve their strategic leadership capabilities.
