The Challenge

You take care of the ongoing advisory work in quality assurance and at the same time work with colleagues to innovate and carry out improvements in ongoing projects. In this role you are responsible for policy concerning quality with regard to systems, accreditations and programs.

Additionally, you are responsible for the management and optimization of the research library. You are also responsible for the operational leadership of the international office team.
The role includes other policy-related tasks, such as contributing to various (strategic) education and research projects. A flexible attitude is expected in contributing to such projects.

In this sense you serve as an advisor for the Board of Directors, regarding the quality assurance topics in your portfolio.You stay abreast of developments in the law and regulations, create policy proposals, and translate policy surrounding quality into operational goals, budgets and design. 

You take care of the writing of policy, analysis and reporting of data for quality assurance and accreditation.
You are a natural networker within the university scene. You gain motivation from collaborating with faculty, external researchers, and from improving and supporting education and research.
You lead a team of 11 colleagues.

We are looking for an independent, energetic and decisive colleague who can easily switch between their interaction with different levels of management. You are able to lead in a motivational manner and are able to convince others.

Who are you?

  • A doctoral degree
  • Strong analytical capacity
  • You have a track record of being able to formulate policy procedures by connecting complex pieces information and weighing various interests.
  • Experience with accreditation in education is a strong advantage
  • Relevant experience in publishing scientific research
  • Experience with the intersection of academia and business 
  • Strong organisor and coordinator
  • Flexible and service-oriented approach
  • Strong communicative and social skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language (written and verbal).
  • You live in the Netherlands and have a valid working permit.

Depending on age and work experience, we offer a gross salary of minimum € 5.301,-- and maximum € 6.755,-- for fulltime employment. (Scale 14).

You have 30 days of paid annual leave (with the possibility to expand this by an extra 5 days) and a fixed year-end bonus of at least 5,1% (over the annual salary and holiday pay).
