The position is for a four-year track in Behavioral Research in Auditing. As a market leader in Accountancy education in the Netherlands, Nyenrode invests highly in Auditing research. In the past decade, because of its strong connections with the auditing profession, Nyenrode has been able to conduct unique empirical research in close collaboration with (and data of) the audit profession and partnerships.
The candidate will be challenged to conduct research in the field of Behavioral Research in Auditing: the field of behavioral research as applied to the auditing profession. Especially, Nyenrode is investing in the study of the or-ganizational or contextual determinants of auditors’ professional behavior as to understand and evidence-inform the behavior or behavioral context of auditors.
The candidate will become part of an internationally highly qualified research team with a strong dedication to academic research, evidence-informed public policy making, and teaching excellence.
Depending on teaching experience, initial teaching responsibilities will be in the MSc and BSc in Accountancy programs.
We are interested in candidates with a clear academic research ambition and interest in empirical research methods (archival, survey, and quantitative). Candidates must be able to collaborate with practice for access to research data and subjects and have the ambition to publish in international peer reviewed journals. He / she is expected to develop a high-quality and original research portfolio that is relevant to both academia and practice.
Who are you?
You have a MSc-degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university, preferably in the field of Organizational Behavior and Culture and / or Accountancy and Auditing. We ask your teaching to be in fluent English and when you are not already Dutch speaking to have the willingness to learn Dutch. You should be comfortable and willing to work in a team.
