The challenge
Nyenrode in Amsterdamcurrently offers various degree programs: from full-time MSc in Management, the BBA New Business / BA (Hons) Business Management (BBA) to BSc. in Business Administration (BScBA) and Executive Education programs. The Program Coordinator role in this vacancy is related to the Nyenrode flagship program: the fulltime Master of Business Administration (FTMBA).

The one-year FTMBA reflects our university’s motto: ‘for business, by business’. The FTMBA is designed around integrated business practices and not as isolated subjects like most traditional MBA programs. These business practices mirror the way business operates. They are taught through case studies and in-company projects where participants can immediately apply the skills learned in class. During the FTMBA program, students from all over the world with at least three years of work experience dedicate one full-time year to their journey of personal and professional development and career growth.

As program coordinator your focus is on the daily operations and administration of the MBA program in Amsterdam and you are responsible for the quality and continuity of the program. You monitor the program execution and work closely together with the program manager, program director, students, and lecturers. Together with the program coordinator(s), you are the first point of contact for lecturers and students concerning all administrative aspects. With thorough knowledge of people, you guide the students in their learning trajectory. In addition, together with the program coordinators within your team, you ensure a flawless execution of the program. You are responsible for the support of the students, including group dynamics, extra-curricular activities and Nyenrode experience in Amsterdam. You manage the operational processes such as scheduling, organizing courses, admissions and setting and meeting deadlines. Nyenrode Faculty can count on your support when drawing up clear learning objectives and meeting deadlines.

Who are you?
You have completed HBO or WO education, and you have obtained at least three years of relevant work experience, preferably in the higher education field. You have a natural talent for managing administrative processes. You possess the ability to keep a good overview and keep calm while working under pressure. You are precise in what you do, and you enjoy dealing with a detailed administration. You clearly communicate with lecturers, students, and colleagues and to be strict when necessary.

You are smart, flexible (also in working hours), enthusiastic and you have a ‘go for it’ attitude. You show ownership, you come up with solutions for issues yourself and advise pro-actively. You are an excellent and open communicator and a team player. You are service and result oriented, reliable and integer. You flourish in a culturally diverse and dynamic working environment with highly educated professionals and high demands in which you remain standing firmly. And of course, you enjoy working with students and lecturers and you are willing to make the Nyenrode experience an unforgettable and valuable experience. A (near) native command of the English (C1/C2 level) and Dutch language is a necessary asset, and you should be comfortable to work within an international environment. You live in the Netherlands and have a valid working permit.
