The challenge

We are looking for a Program Manager for our Nyenrode Amsterdam Campus, with a main focus on the fulltime Master of Science in Management (FTMSc).

The fulltime MSc in Management program is a sixteen months intensive program for ambitious students from different backgrounds. Since August 2018, the program is offered in both Breukelen and Amsterdam. The program is characterized by the unique combination of academic business knowledge, practical relevance and personal development. We offer the students three tracks, several electives and the chance to work on a consultancy assignment during the Company Project.

As Program Manager your main focus is on the daily business of the MSc program in Amsterdam and you are responsible for the quality and continuity of the program and alignment with the program in Breukelen. Besides this, you cooperate closely with the other Program Managers and you support each other on all programs running in Amsterdam.

You monitor the program content and work closely together with the Program Director, lecturers, and managers. Together with the Program Coordinator(s), you are the first point of contact for lecturers and students concerning all educational, group and personal aspects. With thorough knowledge of people, you guide the students in their learning trajectory. In addition, together with the Program Coordinators within your team, you ensure a flawless execution of the program.

This job position combines a business setting with the soft side of working with people. You develop, organize and improve the program and its courses and you ensure an overall monitoring and control of the long-term and short-term quality, continuity and results of the programs. In close cooperation with faculty you make sure that the programs keep developing. You lead a small team of program coordinators on a functional level and you facilitate them to be able to execute their work and be happy.

You are responsible for the support and coaching of the students, including group dynamics, extra-curricular activities and Nyenrode experience in Amsterdam. You are in close contact with the student association JCV. You manage the business processes such as planning and quality assurance of the curriculum. You will initiate and manage curriculum development and innovation.

You are responsible for improvement of the daily operational processes and support the realization of the strategic goals of the program and the Amsterdam campus. You will advise the Program Director and the location director on the content, quality and organization of the programs. Nyenrode Faculty can count on your support when drawing up clear learning objectives and you will arrange for the alignment of different courses in the curriculum.

Who are you?

You have completed a University Degree (WO) and you have obtained at least 3 years relevant work experience as a manager, preferably in the higher education field. You have a natural talent for managing administrative processes and motivating people. You keep a good overview and keep calm while working under pressure. You are precise in what you do and you enjoy dealing with a detailed administration. You are able to clearly communicate with lecturers, students and colleagues and to be strict when necessary. As a purpose-driven leader, you know how to create a positive team atmosphere, get the best out of people and have fun.

You are smart, flexible (also in working hours), enthusiastic and you have a ‘go for it’ attitude. You show ownership, you come up with solutions for issues yourself and advise pro-actively. You are a good and open communicator and team player. You are able to motivate and inspire others. You are service and result oriented, reliable and integer. You flourish in a culturally diverse and dynamic working environment with highly-educated professionals and high demands in which you remain standing firmly. And of course, you enjoy working with students and lecturers and you are willing to make the Nyenrode experience an unforgettable and worthwhile experience.

A (near) native command of both the English (C1/C2 level) and Dutch language is a necessity and you are comfortable working within an international environment. You live in the Netherlands and have a valid working permit.
