Jian Qin is a Ph.D. researcher at Nyenrode's Center for Marketing and Supply Chain Management, his research focusses on how organizations can achieve new innovation from past failed innovation projects and how organizations manage technological innovation in digital business environments. He is proud to be a part of Nyenrode community, having opportunity to collaborate with excellent colleagues and helping students succeed in their careers always give him energy.

Jian got his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Management from University of Finance and Economics in China. From August 2015 to December 2017, he served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Small Business & Entrepreneurship.

Secondary positions

Jian has been the advisory committee member of entrepreneurship education at Shenzhen GTA Education Tech Ltd. since 2014. 

International activities

Jian has been a visiting scholar at Jönköping International Business School in Sweden. He is actively involved in academic society and presents his work at international conferences.

Interests

Jian’s main hobby is hanging out with his son (born 2015) and daughter (born 2019), followed by love of hiking! Besides, he is a fan of Houston Rockets and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
