From campus friendship to entrepreneurial adventure: the Boatique story

It's more common at Nyenrode that a close friendship on campus is the first step of an entrepreneurial adventure. Former bachelor students Loek de Lyon and Ole Nijst share a common passion for boats, which formed the basis of a study project. That project evolved into their own company, Boatique, a leasing concept for electric commercial sloops.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Nyenrode Business Universiteit. It was a men’s stronghold for the first 25 years, but from 1972 women were also welcome to pursue their education. Ans Carels (67) and Renée Smulders (22) have the floor.
