Bas Kodden appointed Professor of Leadership and Management Development
Dr. Bas Kodden has been appointed Professor of Leadership and Management Development at Nyenrode in the summer of 2020. Kodden was already affiliated with Nyenrode as Program Director of the Executive MBA. Kodden’s research focuses on further development of managers by providing models and theories. These should improve the judgement and behavior of professionals and provide guidance in daily practice.

Jan Bots named emeritus professor
Prof Dr Jan Bots delivered his retirement lecture on Thursday August 29, 2019. In this lecture, he reflected on the work of controllers under the impact of digitization. He believes that it is only a matter of time before big data and digitization become an integral part of the controlling profession. He examined the controller’s role in the business sector as well as factors that influence controllers’ work in general and digitization in particular.
Retirement professor Henk Langendijk
On March 29, 2019, Prof Dr Henk Langendijk said goodbye as a professor at Nyenrode. In Nyenrode’s Pfizer lecture hall, he delivered his farewell lecture titled: ‘The (un)true and fair view of the annual financial statements and the position of the auditor’. His most important advice in his lecture was to have auditors appointed and paid by umbrella organizations in order to create more impartiality.
Farewell lecture by Gijs Hiltermann
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, accountancy lecturer Gijs Hiltermann gave his last lecture after nearly 35 years of employment at Nyenrode and NBA predecessor NIVRA. This topic was cost allocation and internal settlement.
