The challenge

The Program Coordinator we are looking for has a primary focus on organizing exams, including review sessions, and assignments for all of our education in Amsterdam. You are the first point of contact for lecturers and students concerning all assessment aspects. You will be responsible for making and communicating the assessment planning and will make sure that all deadlines and other requirements are met. You will also be in charge of the quality verification processes and ensure all logistics of exam weeks have been taken care off. You also have close contact with the Exam Committee concerning complaints, mitigating circumstances and other issues in the assessment process.

You are responsible for organizational and administrative activities to ensure all programs run smoothly and students and lecturers have been informed about necessary process information and requirements. You work closely together with other Program Coordinators of the Program Affairs and Administration team. Each program coordinator is process leader of one or more internal processes and also contributes to other processes within a multidisciplinary team. Every year we will discuss and re-divide the processes between the various Program Coordinators.

Who are you?

You have completed higher professional education and you have obtained at least 3 years relevant work experience in a coordinating job role, preferably in the educational field. You have a natural talent for managing and monitoring administrative processes. You possess the ability to keep a good overview and keep calm while working under pressure. You are precise in what you do and you enjoy dealing with a detailed administration. You are able to clearly communicate with lecturers, students and colleagues and to be strict when necessary.

You are smart, flexible (also in working hours), enthusiastic and you have a ‘go for it’ attitude. You show ownership, you come up with solutions for issues yourself and advise pro-actively. You are a good communicator and teamplayer. You are service oriented, reliable and integer. You flourish in a working environment with highly-educated professionals and high demands in which you remain standing firmly. And of course, you enjoy working with students and lecturers and to make the process run smoothly for them.

An excellent command of both the English and Dutch language is necessary and you feel comfortable working in an international environment. You live in the Netherlands and have a valid working permit. You are experienced with ICT programs such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics. And you are used to making reports on MT decisions.

In 2011, Nyenrode Business Universiteit extended its presence with the purchase of the New Business School, located in Amsterdam. This branch, which has recently been renamed to Nyenrode Business Universiteit – Amsterdam, reinforces the international esteem of the university and it is building up close relationships with local and international enterprises based in Amsterdam. You are a member of the staff and will report directly to the Director of Nyenrode Business Universiteit Amsterdam. As we are a small organization (about 20 colleagues), members of the different teams work together on a daily basis. We also work closely together with our colleagues at the Nyenrode location in Breukelen.
