Dennis Vink is Professor of Finance and Investment at the Nyenrode Business Universiteit and is the Director of the Center for Finance at Nyenrode. He also serves as a Visiting Professor of Finance at the Moscow State University since 2012. He is known as the author of various academic papers that focus on structured finance.
Dennis has worked at Nyenrode since 2002 where he has been given the professor of the year award for teaching excellence in the Nyenrode executive MBA jointly organized with Kellogg School of Management in 2009. He led training programs for (senior) management at major corporations, such as ABN AMRO Lease, BAM, Heijmans, Eneco, Eureko / Achmea, Oranjewoud, and ING Real Estate.
He was appointed Professor and holder of the Chair in Finance and Investment in 2012. The Chair is responsible for teaching and research in the area of Finance, with a special focus on financial markets and instruments. It offers multiple courses stretching across various educational programs of the university, with core contributions to the Bachelor and Master of Business Administration programs.
Dennis has published several papers co-authored by Frank Fabozzi (Professor in the Practice of Finance at Yale) and Andre Thibeault on topics related to structured finance to advance the knowledge in the area of credit ratings and the use of asset-backed securities in (European) financial markets. His working papers are published by the International Center for Finance at Yale School of Management, Vlerick Leuven Gent School of Management School, and the European Financial Management Association. He has written opinion pieces specifically on the use of financial instruments in the Dutch market for Het Financieele Dagblad, NRC Handelsblad, de Accountant, and MeJudice.
He received a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (1999) where he also obtained his PhD degree (2007). Additional training was followed through the Tilburg PhD Program in Finance. He is a member of the European Finance Association, European Financial Management Association, and Midwest Finance Association.
