The Full-time MSc in Management is a 16 month program that will take you into a journey to become your best version and to enter the labor market as a skilled professional. This program will give the foundations needed to succeed in business, as well as the option to specialize in one of the three tracks offered: Digital Business & Innovation, Global Business, and Financial Management.

Pre-Master

Your MSc experience is a personal journey, laying the foundations needed to excel in the world of business.

The Pre-Master stage equips you with essential skills in areas like Organizational Behavior, Academic Reading & Writing, and Finance, setting the stage for your success. Once you have conquered the Pre-Master, you're ready to move on to the master's phase.

Master & Tracks

As you continue this rewarding journey, you will join the core courses of the master’s program and gain general knowledge on specific topics. You will also have the opportunity to pursue your interest in one of three tracks (Digital Business & Innovation, Financial Management, or Global Business), each enhanced by the “Global Immersion program.” This amazing study trip abroad will expose you to the international aspects of business, expand your horizons and enrich your perspective.

You will finish your Master with an individual thesis.

Choose your location: Amsterdam or Breukelen

The Full-time Master (MSc) in Management offers you the possibility to follow your studies in two unique locations: Amsterdam or Breukelen.  Each location provides you with a different Nyenrode experience based on your preferences.

Amsterdam

Studying in Amsterdam means enjoying flexibility to the fullest. You can decide whether you want to join the Nyenrode Amsterdam Study association (JCV) or any student activities outside of Nyenrode. The Amsterdam Campus is cosmopolitan, vivid, entrepreneurial, international and highly connected to business. Experience our Campus in Amsterdam in a virtual tour.

The Amsterdam building is located in the heart of the city alongside one of the main canals (Keizersgracht) We offer students access to the business network in Amsterdam. In addition, we offer a business incubator, a lounge with its own bar for food and drinks and numerous events, like breakfast sessions, to connect our student community (Bachelor, Master and MBA students) with the business world.

Nyenrode facilitates students with the possibility to live at Campus 'OurDomain' in Diemen Zuid, a students residence complex located 15 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station.

Breukelen

Studying in Breukelen allows you to fully focus on your student life while becoming an active member of the NCV (Student Association) You can participate in its numerous committees while practicing your business and social skills.

The campus is situated on a historical estate with a thirteenth century castle at its heart. You can enjoy everything this unique setting has to offer. It is the perfect environment to dedicate 16 months to your own development. Some of the facilities included are: a library, private study rooms, sports (Rugby field / tennis court / hockey and soccer fields / gym), a student restaurant, housing and two bars.

The campus also welcomes professionals on a daily basis for executive education programs, enabling you as a student to connect. By living and studying on campus, you will create a network of friends for life.

What are the admission requirements?

  • At least a Bachelor's degree (Research University or University of Applied Sciences).
  • Between 0-3 years work experience.
  • Affinity with mathematics and statistics.
  • Adequate knowledge of English (TOEFL 91+, IELTS 7.0, or Cambridge Advanced C1).
  • Admission test taken during the admission procedure (Nyenrode LTP test or GMAT 550+ / GRE 155+).

Pre-Master

The full pre-master is compulsory for anyone with a Bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Sciences. For students with a Bachelor's degree from a Research University certain exemptions are available.

Most international students are required to follow the entire Pre-Master.

Only students with a Bachelor or Master in Business Administration from a Research University can be exempted from the Pre-Master.  

In all cases, the full admission procedure applies.

Admission procedure

  1. Press the green apply button and fill out the form. After you submitted the form, you will receive an email with a link to our Nyenrode Admissions Portal. Make sure to complete your application in this portal.
  2. We will contact you to schedule the selection day, the Nyenrode LTP test (in case you do not have a GMAT or GRE score) and a personal selection interview.
  3. If you are admitted you will receive a letter with the registration form within two weeks.

    *Attendance for the introduction/kickoff period is required in order to start the pre-master.

    Pre-Master 2024 & Master 2025

    • Early bird deadline: March 25th, 2024. Anyone who applies before this date, is accepted, and registers to start the program will receive a discount (of €300) on the first down payment. Candidates who are rejected or withdraw after acceptance will not receive a waiver on their selection costs. The selection fee is charged before a LTP test is taken.
    • Scholarship application deadline: May 15th, 2024. Please refer to the 'Scholarships' section below for more information
    • Final application deadline (International, Visa required): June 1st, 2024
    • Final application deadline (Dutch/EU/EFTA): June 15th, 2024

    Application Master

    You can apply for the Full-time Master (MSc) in Management via the green application button.

    Special admission route: SPJIMR.

    If you follow the SPJIMR Global Management Program in Mumbai, India you can complete the Full-time MSc in Management in twelve months. You follow the SPJIMR program for six months and then join Nyenrode's Full-time MSc in Management. Contact us if you have questions about this study route.

    Program costs

    The Pre-Master and Master cover a total of three semesters. The fee for the Pre-Master is €10.300. The fee for the Master is €22.100.

    Total cost of €32.400 include:

    • Tuition fee Master (2 semesters)
    • Readers & copyrights

    Books and flight ticket (s) for international study trips are not included. 

    • Application fee: € 300 (the application fee will be refunded if the candidate completes their application and registers for the program before March 25th 2024).

    Living in Amsterdam

    The Netherlands has traditionally been an internationally oriented country, housing a large international community. This makes living here easy for international students. Studying in the Netherlands has many benefits, such as:

    Internship or working Visa

    If you are a student who is currently enrolled at a university in the Netherlands:

    • EU nationality: EU nationals do not need a visa to study or work in The Netherlands.
    • Non-EU nationality:
      • Internship: if you are in in the possession of a student visa, you are required to have an internship agreement which needs to be co-signed by your company as well as your educational institution. No extra permit or visa is required.
      • Working: you need a specific work permit that needs to be requested by your employer. Also, your working time is limited to 16 hours per week except for the vacation period (June, July and August). During this period, you can work full-time. Please check the detailed information here.

      Opening a Dutch bank account

      If you do not have a SEPA-account in an EU country, we strongly advise you to open a Dutch Bank Account after your arrival to facilitate money withdrawals, buying everyday products, and/or (international) transactions.

      To create an account with a Dutch bank, you'll usually need a BSN (social security number), which is granted once you register with your local municipality. However, each bank may have its own set of requirements. The most significant are:

      • A valid identity document (for non-EU students/scholars: passport).
      • A Dutch address for the duration of your stay.
      • A proof of university enrollment.

      Please look into your options to see which one is the greatest fit for you. The big three banks in The Netherlands are:

      *SEPA stands for Single Euro Payments Area.

      Living in Breukelen

      The campus has five buildings for student housing. They have been named after people who have contributed a lot to the university: Postma, Weijer, Kuneman, Klaasesz, and Philips (subdivided into Roeterink I & II, Riemsdijk and Otten). There are 295 rooms and three-room types in these buildings (Furnished/Unfurnished/Kitchen).

      Housing allowance can be granted based on the calculation and advice from the housing department and after deducting the allowance, the average monthly fee of this housing is around  €320 - €500 per month. For all information about housing on campus in Breukelen, view this page.

      To ensure everyone feels at home on campus, we also offer a number of facilities to make sure you can live, work and relax in comfort. Among the facilities at our campus you’ll find a living room, a student restaurant (Mensa), cubicles for project and group work, a laundromat, an outdoor kitchen with barbecue, and various sports accommodations.

      Living in Amsterdam

      Nyenrode offers students the opportunity of living on Campus Diemen-Zuid,  a student residence complex. The complex is located 15 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station. 

      OurDomain houses a lively student community and several facilities such as: a supermarket (open 7 days a week), restaurants, cafés, a fitness center, a print shop, a launderette, and study-rooms. A furnished apartment at OurDomain costs about € 1.000  - € 1.200 per month, depending on the type of apartment.

      All apartments at OurDomain feature a living area, a modern bathroom and open kitchen. The monthly rent includes bicycle parking, TV and internet subscriptions, gym membership, and access to the tennis court and study halls. The monthly rent is excluding service costs and utility advances. No housing allowance granted.

      For talented students with limited financial resources there are a number of possibilities to (partly) finance your studies:

      This information is necessary for students who are graduating or who graduated from Dutch universities.

      • EU nationality: EU nationals do not need a visa to stay or work in The Netherlands after graduation.
      • Non-EU nationality: Non-EU graduates can apply for Orientation Year Visa for staying and working in The Netherlands after graduation. This visa allows you to have free access to opening your own business or being hired by a company for one year. To be eligible for this visa, you should satisfy the conditions that IND announces.

      FAQ

      What does the application procedure look like and what are the entry requirements? Find out in the frequently asked questions below.

      • Open days: open days will be held online or in small groups on campus.
      • Campus tours: campus tours will be organized in small groups on both campuses (Amsterdam & Breukelen).
      • Personal Information sessions: schedule a call with our Program Advisors or inquire whether it's possible to meet our Program Advisors in person.
      • Admission days: admission days are online by Teams and our Nyenrode Admissions test can be taken from home.
      All questions related to running applications can be sent to admissionsftmsc@nyenrode.nl.
      Students who haven’t started their application yet can contact the program advisors at ftmsc@nyenrode.nl.

      We offer our own admissions test (Nyenrode LTP) as an alternative for the GMAT and GREs. The test is scheduled after completing the online form in our admissions portal. 

      The English certificates can be submitted by 22 August 2022, before the start of the Pre-Master phase of the program.

      The IND (Dutch Immigration Department) is in business for all applications. Students can apply for a student visa via the admissions office as they would normally do. The IND has informed the university that there might be some delay in their response time. In case students need an entry visa to get into the Netherlands, different rules apply for different countries (consulates and embassies) on how to get this organized.

      • Breukelen: students who enroll in the program on the campus in Breukelen can live in one of the student dorms. You don't have to submit a separate accommodation request for the Breukelen campus.
      • Amsterdam: students who wish to study in Amsterdam can apply for a studio apartment on the 'OurDomain' campus in Diemen Zuid. They can submit their request at the admissions office.
        Students are also free to find their own accommodation in the city.
      The workload in the Pre-Master will be 35-45 hours per week, depending on the student’s individual background and abilities. This can be divided into 20 contact hours (online and on-campus) and 20+ hours preparatory work at home or with peers (lectures, assignments, exams, and group work) per week.
      In the Pre-Master, on average, you work on individual examinations (70%) and assignments (30%) (either group or individual). Of these assignments, around 85% are individual assignments and 15% are group work.
