About the Fund

Stichting Nyenrode Fonds is the university fund of Nyenrode Business Universiteit. The Fund operates as an independent ANBI-registered organization and operates completely autonomously from Nyenrode Business University and Stichting Nyenrode, the owner of the estate. However, all expenditures are for the benefit of Stichting Nyenrode or Nyenrode Business Universiteit, by financing projects for the benefit of students, the educational facilities and the cultural heritage.

To do this, capacity and financial resources have been made available from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (NBU) for the positions of director and fundraiser. The board of Stichting Nyenrode Fonds consists predominantly of alumni; all posts are unpaid. They currently do not receive any expense allowance. This means that 100% of all earmarked donations go to the projects.

Mission

Our mission is to invest in the past, present and future of the university. The Fund makes money available for preserving the Nyenrode past, such as the monuments, cultural heritage and traditions. To strengthen today’s education, the Fund invests in the quality of our educational facilities. In addition, the Fund invests in the future, by providing scholarships to students who lack the resources to fully fund their studies at Nyenrode.

ANBI status

Donors of Stichting Nyenrode Fonds benefit from tax exemptions as the Fund is registered as an Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI). As an ANBI organization, we are obliged to publish an annual financial statement. The requirement is to (at least) publish the balance sheet, profit and loss account and explanatory notes. We have chosen to provide additional information in addition to the presentation of the figures. In our account, we focus on the goals set and the results achieved. We provide insight into our spending and look ahead to the future.
