Biography

My aim is to provide a meaningful contribution to the field of artificial intelligence, promotin gits fair use in future audit applications. 

Federica Picogna is a fulltime PhD researcher at the Center for Accounting, Auditing & Control. Her research focuses on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the context of classification, with a specific emphasis on audit-related applications. In addition to Picogna’s ongoing efforts in researching and developing new methodologies, her aim extends to the dissemination of these techniques among auditors. She strives to enhance accessibility by integrating these advancements into the open-source software JASP.

Picogna attained her Bachelor’s degree in Statistics for Technology and Science and her Masters Degree (cum laude) in Statistical Sciences, both from the University of Padua. During her final year of the Master’s program, she held a position as a tutor, providing both academic and motivational support. This experience further confirmed her passion for teaching.

Picogna loves gardening, cooking, traveling, reading and listening to music.
