Nyenrode Business University closed the academic year 2024–2025 with a clear financial turnaround and a strong foundation for future growth. Revenue increased by 2.75% to €77.1 million. Net results improved significantly, from a loss of €3.9 million last year to a positive result of €2.36 million, driven primarily by higher income from bachelor’s and master’s programs and targeted cost management. Solvency also increased to 45.4%. These results create room for continued investment in the quality and innovation of education.

Strategic direction and future-oriented investments

Micky Adriaansens, Chair of the University Board, emphasized:
“The solid financial results give us the capacity to invest in what our students, participants, and partners expect from us: relevant, future-oriented education. In a world of rapid technological developments and geopolitical change, we educate professionals who can build connections, make well-considered decisions, and create sustainable impact. We do so through renewed programs, strong integration of digital and AI developments in our curricula, and flexible learning pathways for every stage of a career. This way, Nyenrode continues to serve as a bridge between leadership, science, and society, where knowledge and responsibility reinforce one another.”

Recognition for quality and impact

In 2025, Nyenrode took important steps forward, including the introduction of the Impact MBA, the first English-taught Accountancy track, and the reassessment of the strategy for 2025–2030. These investments in educational quality were reflected in independent assessments and rankings. The bachelor’s program in International Business Administration was named the best in the Netherlands within its category by Keuzegids Universiteiten. Nyenrode also rose in the Financial Times European Business School Ranking. Within this ranking, Open Executive Education was once again recognized as the best in the Netherlands, underscoring Nyenrode’s strong position for professionals. In May, Nyenrode also achieved B Corp certification, recognizing the university’s social and environmental impact.

With more than 7,500 students and participants each year, Nyenrode offers a broad portfolio, ranging from the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the Master of Science in Management to specialized programs in Accountancy, Controlling, and Tax, international MBA programs, and Executive Education. The campus in Breukelen, with its historic castle and green surroundings, forms the heart of this community, complemented by locations in Amsterdam and The Hague. Nyenrode distinguishes itself through small-scale education, personal attention, and a strong connection between science and practice.

With a healthy financial base and a clear strategic direction, Nyenrode remains committed to its societal mission: educating leaders who make meaningful contributions to organizations and society.
