Maarten van der Bent MSc EMA RA is a lecturer and core team member for the course Financial Accounting Theory. He is also involved as a lecturer in the Praktijkreferaat course and the summer course Professional Peer Reflection & Intervision.
Van der Bent finds it especially rewarding when students indicate that they have truly learned something from a program.
He has a background as an accountant and worked in the audit practice for eleven years. In addition to his work at Nyenrode, he has been affiliated since 2020 with Roosdom Tijhuis, a property development and construction company based in Rijssen.
Other interests
Van der Bent enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also likes reading books.
