Biography

Drs. Judith van Liempt RA is a lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Auditing & Control. Her teaching and expertise focus on personal leadership and organizational development. She is responsible for the INTRO program, the Professional Leadership Development Journey (PLDJ 1–3), The Resilient Accountant, and the course Administrative Organization and Internal Control (BIV-IB). Van Liempt develops experiential education that enables students not only to acquire technical accounting knowledge, but also to strengthen their personal leadership, professional judgment, and moral courage. She is passionate about guiding students in their development into professionals who are confident in taking responsibility.

Van Liempt began her career at KPMG before moving into a variety of leadership positions in public accounting, the corporate sector, and the public sector. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she serves as a manager at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. She obtained her postgraduate degree in Accountancy from Nyenrode Business Universiteit, is a Dutch Chartered Accountant (RA), and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and IMD Business School. She also holds the Dutch University Teaching Qualification (BKO).

Her mission is to educate students not only as highly competent accountants, but also as professionals with a strong moral compass who take responsibility for their actions and for their impact on society.

International Activities

Van Liempt completed the executive program Leadership at Harvard Business School and the executive program Negotiation & Value Creation at IMD Business School.
