Biography

Puneet Bindlish is Associate Professor and affiliated with the Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship.

Bindlish’s work focuses on leadership and organizational behavior, integrative intelligence, spirituality, ethics and decision-making in organizations, and the relationship between entrepreneurship, sustainability, and indigenous knowledge systems. At Nyenrode, he contributes to research in entrepreneurship, governance, and stewardship, with a particular focus on societal transitions such as the IZA “Buurt als Ecosysteem” program. His work integrates ethical reflection, purpose-driven leadership, and sustainability into management education, while developing frameworks that connect individual leadership, organizational change, and system-level transformation. He is energized by working with students, executives, and societal partners on complex questions related to health, community, and long-term value creation.

Bindlish is an interdisciplinary scholar with a research background in organizational behavior. His work brings together management, philosophy, and spirituality, with a focus on integrative and indigenous perspectives on leadership, ethics, and decision-making. He also serves as faculty at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he teaches and conducts research on integrative spirituality and ethics and contributes to interdisciplinary programs and academic committees.

Previously, Bindlish held a faculty position at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), where he was involved in entrepreneurship education, institutional development, and international engagement. In addition to his academic career, he brings more than two decades of entrepreneurial and consulting experience. As founder and leader of ventures in technology and organizational development, he has worked across sectors including healthcare, education, and sustainability. He also co-developed the concept of Integrative Intelligence, aimed at enabling adaptive, self-managed organizations in complex environments.

In his teaching and research, Bindlish emphasizes ethics, self-awareness, responsibility, and long-term value creation. His personal mission at Nyenrode is to advance integrative and indigenous perspectives in management scholarship and to contribute to organizations that are both effective and deeply human-centered. Through this work, he supports the development of leaders who can navigate complexity with integrity, purpose, and care for the broader systems of which they are part.

International Activities

Bindlish’s research and teaching are strongly international. He has taught and conducted research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in India, and previously at Nyenrode Business University as visiting faculty. His collaborations span Europe, Asia, and North America, particularly in the areas of spirituality, leadership, and sustainable organizational development.
