Working with business-minded students on how to integrate relevant research within their daily work is something I see as a challenge in particular. That's where I could certainly put my international experience to good use. Furthermore, I see the collaboration with colleagues and students as inspiration for joint new research projects."

With Erkens' arrival, Nyenrode aims to further strengthen its academic foundation: "I am very pleased that Michael Erkens is joining my center. I am convinced that he will make a major contribution to realizing our research ambitions in the field of financial accounting by companies and other organizations," said center director Ruud Vergoossen.
