Nyenrode Business University has once again been named the Netherlands' top-rated education institution in MT/Sprout's MT500 ranking. Just like last year, Nyenrode leads the 'Universities, Colleges & Educators' category.
The annual reputation ranking is based on the assessments of decision-makers across Dutch industry and evaluates organizations on factors including customer focus, product leadership, operational excellence, being a good employer, and sustainability.
Recognition for customer focus
In the customer focus category, Nyenrode earned the highest rating. That rating reflects the way Nyenrode works with students, participants, alumni, and organizations: personal, small-scale, and always closely attuned to the real-world issues at stake.
University Board Chair Micky Adriaansens sees this as a key strength of the university. "Developments in geopolitics, the economy, and technology, such as AI, are changing how organizations create value and make decisions. Our small scale allows us to respond quickly to these developments. That's how we stay continuously relevant to the organizations and participants navigating these changes firsthand."
Bridging academia and practice
According to Rector Magnificus Michael Erkens, Nyenrode's strength lies in the combination of academic rigor and practical relevance. "Our research is published in leading international journals and forms the foundation of our teaching. At the same time, we connect that research to practice. That combination ensures knowledge doesn't stay abstract, but becomes directly applicable within organizations."
Triple Crown recognition
The combination of academic excellence, practical relevance, and Nyenrode's personal approach is also recognized internationally. Earlier this year, Nyenrode achieved Triple Crown status, placing it among fewer than one percent of business schools worldwide that hold all three leading international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
Nyenrode's continued top ranking in the MT500 shows that this quality is not only recognized internationally, but also valued by Dutch industry.
