You are cordially invited by the University Board of Nyenrode Business University to attend the Opening of the Academic Year on Monday, September 8, 2025. Theme: How to navigate in a disruptive world.
You're welcome from 15:30 at the Neelie Kroes Hall, located in the Dr. Albert Heijn Building at Nyenrode Business University. The ceremony will begin at 16:00 in the Pfizer Auditorium.
Keynote: The Geopolitical Test of Leadership
The global order is shifting: institutions are under pressure, and new power centers are emerging. In this climate of geopolitical disruption, leaders in business and policy must act with foresight and integrity.
To help navigate this complexity, Nyenrode emphasizes not only professional skills, but also the development of moral awareness. What does it mean to lead with responsibility in a rapidly changing world?
Dr. Jelle van Baardewijk, our recently appointed associate professor and expert in business ethics, will address this crucial question in his keynote. As a prominent public intellectual, he will take us on a tour de force through today's geopolitical shifts, exploring their implications for leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands.
