Navigating employability and value-based perspectives for fulfilling careers

Dr. Gunjan Joshi is Assistant Professor of Business and Spirituality at the Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship. Her research focuses on investigating the dynamic interplay between employability, career development and spirituality. She is dedicated to exploring how individuals’ spiritual beliefs and practices shape their career choices, satisfaction and overall professional wellbeing.

Joshi completed her PhD in December 2020 from the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. During her PhD her research focused broadly on the career and employability of handicraft workers in India. She is Particularly inspired by businesses prioritizing the wellbeing of humans and the environment. Joshi’s research emphasizes the importance of actions centered around people, the planet and prosperity and their positive impact on sustainable development. For example, one of her research studies, published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, provides a micro-level understanding of how actions directed towards people by sustainable organizations positively influences the natural environment.

Joshi was part of Nyenrode Business University from February 2022 till Januari 2023 as a Visiting Fellow for the Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship. Her expertise in research- Empirical-based qualitative & quantitative research designs and mix-method research approach.

She wants to contribute meaningful research and combining her expertises to offer a holistic approach to career development and integrating professional paths with values for fostering personal and societal well-being.

Joshi likes to explore nature's beauty through walks and visiting new cities.
