Education

The Full-time Master (MSc) in Management program has been recently redesigned to provide young talents with the best toolkit to enter the labor market as skilled starters.

The full-time Master (MSc) in Management provides the ideal combination of solid academic theory, personal development and practical relevance. This produces young professionals prepared to tackle the current trends in the global business arena.

Our commitment to our students prompted a redesign of the program, with the launch of two new tracks. Starting from January 2018, students will be able to choose from among the following tracks:

  • Digital Business & Innovation
  • Financial Management
  • Global Strategies & Sustainability

Digital Business & Innovation

This newly-designed track is the result of a successful course created through the joint efforts of Nyenrode faculty and students. The ‘Digital Business’ course launched in 2016 brought students closer to the reality of digital transformation. Some students ended up finding jobs in this field, even before graduation, at companies like PwC and IBM. During this track, students will cover topics that range from the impact of digitalization on business and society to the possibilities and threats of big data, digital business models, business intelligence and cyber security.

Global Strategies & Sustainability

This track will tackle subjects such as competition in a global world, sustainable global value chains, new economic powers reflected in the shift from West to East, social venturing entrepreneurship and disruptive best practices. Consequently, students will have exposure to globally active companies throughout the courses and will interact with experienced international guest lecturers.

Financial Management

This popular track has been updated to include the latest trends in the financial world and to cover topics such as asset pricing, capital budgeting under risk, hedge fund strategies, sustainable banking and financial technology. Students will be equipped with the foundation necessary to tackle the complex world of corporate financial management.

Modules, Elective Courses & Company Project

In addition, common courses in both the Pre-Master and Master phases of the program have been clustered in knowledge modules. This will ensure that students focus on areas of expertise and maximize the correlation between topics in each field.

Just as they have done over the past two years, students also complete a Nyenrode Company Project in which they need to tackle a real-life challenge faced by a company during a period of 6 months. During this period, Nyenrode faculty, alumni and business leaders train students in topics such as consultancy skills, coaching, entrepreneurship & sustainability.

Finally, to deepen their knowledge in their area of interest, students will be able to choose two elective courses from course offerings that include Sports Leadership, Business Law, Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, Bank Financial Management, among others.
