Just like the last three years, Nyenrode’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BScBA) program has once again been selected by Keuzegids Universiteiten (Resource Guide Universities) as best education program in the Netherlands in the International Business category. In addition, the BScBA is awarded a shared third place as one of the five top programs in the Netherlands. Students rated the professional career preparation ‘excellent’, and they are positive about the didactic skills, guidance and involvement of lecturers and professors.
Nyenrode connects theory and practice by having students of the education program Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BScBA) make analyzes for existing companies, such as the company project. This project lets students choose to either start up their own business, an advisory project or social entrepreneurship. This is a great preparation for the students’ professional careers.
Carlijn Wentzel, Director Management Degree Programs: “During our intensive academic program at our Amsterdam and Breukelen locations, our students grow towards playing a leading role in the international business community of the future in 3 years. We build our education around an educational vision in which we combine academic knowledge (head), personal development (heart) and practical relevance (hands), based on our core values Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Stewardship. Our campuses offer our students the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned within the Nyenrode community, the student associations, the company project or our Nyenrode Incubator Amsterdam during their studies. A special component of our program is the exchange semester, in which students study abroad at one of our partner universities for six months. We are very pleased to learn that our students appreciate this approach that highly again”.
Keuzegids Universiteiten has also reviewed Nyenrode’s part-time education program BSc in Accounting in the Fiscal Economics category. This program is solely focused on accounting, unlike the other reviewed education programs. The accounting students follow their classes one day per week, at one of the eight locations throughout the country (Breukelen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Eindhoven, Breda, Arnhem or Zwolle). The other four days they work at an accounting firm. A big bonus, according to the students, is the fact that the employer pays for their education. On top of that, they are also very satisfied with the preparation the program offers them for the professional practice in real-life.
The rankings of universities with the best education is published by the Keuzegids once per year and is based on the National Student Survey (NSE, Nationale Studenten Enquête). The Keuzegids is an independent guide that reviews all accredited education programs in the Netherlands.
