FAQ

Do I need to work in government to take this module?

No. This module is designed for professionals working at the intersection of the public and private sectors, including healthcare, housing associations, energy, education, NGOs, consulting firms, and organizations that collaborate with public sector partners. The diversity of backgrounds and sectors within the group is an important part of the learning experience and adds significant value to the module.

How much time does this module require?

The module takes approximately six months to complete. During this period, you will spend six days on campus in Breukelen, divided into three two-day blocks with approximately one month between each block. In addition, you should expect to spend an average of six to eight hours per week on preparation and the final assignment required to complete the module.

Can I take this module without committing to the full MBA?

Yes. You can take any module of the Modular Executive MBA as a standalone module. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate. If you later decide to pursue the full MBA, this module can count toward your degree program. To earn the MBA degree, you must complete six core modules, at least two elective modules, the international study trip, and the MBA thesis.

What educational background and work experience do I need?

You have at least five years of experience in a strategic, leadership, entrepreneurial, or other influential role. In addition, you hold a bachelor's degree (HBO or university level) or can demonstrate an equivalent level of professional and academic ability. Not sure whether your profile is a good fit? What language is this module taught in?

This module is taught in Dutch. A good command of the Dutch language is required to participate. Some of the course literature may be in English.

Is this module part of an accredited MBA?

Yes. This module is part of Nyenrode’s Modular Executive MBA. The MBA holds the international accreditations AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB, collectively known as the Triple Crown. Upon successful completion of this module, you will receive a certificate. If you complete the full program, you will earn the MBA degree.
