Introduction
Technological innovation is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, from cloud computing and social platforms to data and AI.
The role of data and AI alone has changed dramatically in just a few years. As a result, the way organizations structure and manage technology and data must evolve as well, along with the role of the CIO and CTO. Today's executives are expected to demonstrate strong digital leadership. Interactions with citizens and consumers increasingly take place through digital channels, and the digital world demands constant vigilance and the ability to respond quickly. All of this requires a new vision for the organization. The central question explored in the Business Value of Data and Technology module is: How do you become a truly digital organization?

Curriculum
What are you going to do?
At a time when data and technology are transforming organizations across every industry, it is essential to organize them in a purposeful and strategic way. The modular MBA module Business Value of Data & Technology equips you with the insights and skills needed to leverage technology, data, and AI to create business value within your organization.
Using clear frameworks and practical examples, you will be guided through the process of making your organization digitally future-ready. The module also examines the impact of digital transformation on leadership, organizational structures, and the capabilities required throughout the organization.
In Block 1, we explore the evolving role of technology and data, as well as different approaches to organizing and managing IT. One of the key concepts covered is the multimodal organization, balancing stability with agility and specialized solutions with standardized approaches.
Block 2 focuses on the role and governance of data and AI as integral components of an organization's core products and services, and how they drive business value creation.
Finally, Block 3 examines the value of digital ecosystems, including the management of marketplaces for cloud-based services. You will learn how to understand and analyze your organization's position within its digital ecosystem and how to anticipate emerging challenges related to globalization and the growing importance of digital sovereignty.
What will you get out of it?
Upon completion of this module, you will:
- The ability to design effective governance structures and (multimodal) technology and data organizations;
- A thorough understanding of how to assess and enhance the value of data and AI;
