This scholarship is made possible by the alumni of the year 1984.
- Scholarship recipients are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They are pursuing a BScBA or MScM program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit;
- They contribute to diversity and inclusion on the Breukelen or Amsterdam campus;
- They have the intention to actively contribute to the student associations NCV or JCV;
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the scholarship instigators;
- They are willing to contribute to the 1984 Diversity Scholarship Fund after completing their studies.
1983 Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible by alumni of the year 1983.
- Scholarship recipients are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They are pursuing a BScBA program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit;
- They contribute to diversity and inclusion on the Breukelen campus. We are looking for, for example: first-generation students or students with a minority background or students with a recent migration background;
- They have the intention to actively contribute to the student association NCV at Nyenrode;
- They are/were socially involved in the community before studying at Nyenrode, and have demonstrated leadership initiative;
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the scholarship instigators;
- They are willing to contribute to the 1983 Diversity Scholarship Fund after completing their studies.

This scholarship is made possible by alumni from the year 1982.
- Scholarship recipients are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They are pursuing a BScBA program at the Breukelen campus of Nyenrode Business Universiteit;
- They contribute to diversity and inclusion on the Breukelen campus;
- They have the intention to actively contribute to the student association NCV;
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the scholarship instigators;
- They are willing to contribute to the 1982 Diversity Scholarship Fund after completing their studies.
1981 Diversity Scholarship (BScBA & MScM)
This scholarship is made possible by alumni from the year 1981.
- Scholarship recipients are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They are pursuing a BScBA or MScM program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit
- They contribute to diversity and inclusion on the Breukelen campus
- They have the intention to actively contribute to the student association NCV
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the scholarship instigators;
- They are willing to contribute to the 1981 Diversity Fund after completing their studies themselves
American Friends of Nyenrode University Scholarship
- Scholarship recipients cannot pursue an education at Nyenrode without the financial support from the scholarship;
- The recipients of the scholarship are driven and talented students;
- They are following a BScBA/MScMA program in Breukelen or Amsterdam;
- They intend to become active members of the NVC or JCV;
- They are open to contact with the AFNU Board;
- They are willing to contribute themselves to the Nyenrode Scholarship Fund/AFNU fund after completing their studies;
1985 Scholarship for Female Talent (MScM)
- For the academic year 2024-2025 these donors are looking for a female student;
- The recipients of the scholarship are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They are pursuing a BScBA/MScM program at the Breukelen campus;
- They intend to become active members of NCV and (as alumni) VCV;
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the scholarship donors;
- They are willing to contribute to the 1985 Scholarship fund themselves after completing their studies - "paying forward".
International Talent Scholarship
With the International Talent Scholarship, we want to invest in talented internationals with a high academical and personal development potential. Suitable applicants are non-Dutch nationals who have proven academical excellence or societal engagement, that have been admitted to the fulltime MSc in Management program.
Entrepreneurial Spirit Scholarship (MScM)
A true entrepreneur is someone with a unique skill set to take ideas and transform them into reality. To empower true entrepreneurial spirit, we want to support young entrepreneurs, who started or have concrete plans to start their own business, to fuel their dreams of pursuing a master’s degree in management at Nyenrode.
Academic Excellence Scholarship (MScM)
With the Academic Excellence Scholarship, we want to support applicants with an exceptionally strong academic performance, who belong to the top 10% of their graduating class. By awarding academic achievements, we seek to promote innovation and new ideas in the world of business.

Social Impact Scholarship
It is Nyenrode’s mission to serve society by shaping responsible leaders for a sustainable future. To continue this path, recipients of the Social Impact Scholarship are students who aim to contribute to a better future by taking on tomorrow’s challenges, including those linked to environmental and societal issues. This scholarship is specifically for students that have been admitted to the fulltime MSc in Management program.
Women in Business Scholarship (MScM)
1958 Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible by the alumni of NOIB class 1958.
- The recipients of the scholarship are unable to study at Nyenrode without this scholarship;
- They follow a BScBA/MScM course on the campus in Breukelen;
- They intend to become active members of NCV and (as alumnus) VCV;
- They are open to communications with and mentoring by the donors of the scholarship;
- After completing their studies, they are willing to contribute to the 1958 Legacy Scholarship fund - “paying forward”.
BonAparte Female Talent Scholarship (BScBA)
- The recipients of the scholarship are unable to attend Nyenrode without the scholarship due to lack of financial capacity;
- The recipient of the scholarship is a female candidate;
- They are pursuing a BScBA degree at the Breukelen campus;
- They intend to become active members of NCV and as Nyenrode alumnus of the VCV;
- They are open to contact with and coaching and mentoring by the scholarship instigators, members of BonAparte;
- They are willing to contribute to the BonAparte Talent Fund themselves after completing their studies - "paying forward".

This has been announced by Petri Hofsté, Chairman of the Nyenrode Foundation Board and Koen Becking after joint consultation. Koen Becking will not stay on beyond his first term, which expires on October 1 of this year. Nyenrode Foundation has begun the search for a new chairman.

Nature is increasingly being given legal rights: 'This is how we can really save nature'
Type: ResearchPublication date: 11/30/2023Since 2017, Nyenrode Business University professor Tineke Lambooy has been researching the globally innovative legal trend of 'Rights of Nature'. Internationally and also in the Netherlands, she is a forerunner in this field. "The purpose of granting rights to natural objects or entities such as rivers, forests, mountains and animals is to recognise their intrinsic value and give them a voice. If a natural area or river has rights, this natural entity is able to act in public debate and court. Just like us and government agencies, companies, foundations and associations. For instance, nature can stir when a decision by a public or private party threatens its survival or when there is behaviour that damages the quality of nature," Lambooy said.

Executive misconduct and the recovery of compensation
Type: ResearchPublication date: 10/19/2023Clawback clauses stipulate that an employee must repay (part of) his variable remuneration if it turns out in retrospect that it should not have been paid out. Prof Dr Michael Erkens is Professor of Corporate Reporting at Nyenrode Business University and examined what these clauses must meet to be effective. He also looked at what the consequences were of effective versus ineffective clawbacks. The outcome of the study resulted in the mandatory implementation of effective clawback clauses in the United States.
