Nyenrode Business University is seeking faculty candidates with research and teaching interests relevant to the field of organizational behaviour and organization change, design and development for the position of Assistant Professor.
We are interested in candidates with strong backgrounds in Business Administration, including organization strategy, business economics, social psychology, and other relevant social sciences. Candidates must show evidence of excellent teaching ability, preferably at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, they should possess excellent communication skills and speak English fluently. Understanding of the Dutch language is an advantage.
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of or potential for doing high-quality research that has both academic and managerial relevance. A Ph.D. is required for the position, but we will also consider candidates who will finish their Ph.D. within six months from the starting date of their appointment.
The position involves teaching, research, and contributing to the academic community at the university. Your teaching responsibilities will include organizational behavior, transformation and academic skills in our various Ba, MSc and MBA programs, and occasionally contributing to executive programs. Consistent with our emphasis on managerial relevance, the candidate will be encouraged to develop and update teaching materials, cases, and exercises, in the light of international developments and emerging research. The candidates are expected to develop their research portfolio of high-quality, original academic research, publish in peer-reviewed academic journals, and disseminate knowledge in practitioner-oriented outlets on issues that have a strong managerial focus, and which are of relevance and interest to an international audience. You are expected to enthusiastically participate in building and sustaining a sense of community across the university, as well as a high-quality work environment. You will join an expanding team at an exciting time in the growth of the Centre for Strategy, Organisation and Leadership and the university.
