The Academic Services Center at Nyenrode Business Universiteit is looking for an Intern at the International Office for four to five days (32-40 hours per week). In this versatile position you’ll be responsible for a broad range of tasks such as the organization of events, administration, and communication to strengthen internationalization and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on the Nyenrode campuses in Breukelen and Amsterdam.

The Challenge

  • support the International Office with the execution and implementation of the internationalization policy, encouraging among others, student & staff mobility.
  • support and organize activities that strengthen internationalization, diversity, equity and inclusion on the Breukelen and Amsterdam campuses.
  • organize and support the student journey activities for international students for a soft landing and integration with other students.
  • to act as a Nyenrode representative in relevant networks.
  • support in the digitalization of international platforms and account management.
  • administrative and operational tasks.

The International Office

Who are you?

You are a curious and open-minded person with affinity for international relations. You are currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university. With ease you know how to translate the wishes of both students and NBU colleagues into activities that add value to NBU’s community.


  • have relevant study and/or work experience in the field of international relations, international business, (international) higher education, DEI and/or other relevant fields.
  • are hands-on and meticulous in planning and organizing events and activities.
  • are a strong and sensitive communicator who liaises well with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • master English and Dutch at least at C1 level in the CEFR in both languages and are completely at ease working in an international (educational) environment.
  • can work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, being an energetic, flexible, and diplomatic problem solver.
  • are eager to learn and to develop, picking up some topics that may be new to you.
