Nyenrode Business University is situated on an estate of almost 60 hectares. The rich history of the estate and its castle goes back to the thirteenth century. You can still see many historic features in and around the castle, even though it was damaged and restored several times over the years. On the estate you can find a variety of sights and monuments such as the Rose Garden, the Coach House, a number of aviaries and our Deer Enclosure.
After WWII, the Netherlands International Education Institute NOIB was established in the castle. The castle and estate were made suitable for university campus life, and multiple new buildings were added over the years. Ultimately, NOIB was renamed Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
