Accountancy Students' Association VAS

Accountancy Students' Association VAS

The VAS (Accountancy Students' Association) was founded in 1971 to guard the interests of all accountancy students in the Netherlands. Since 2015, it has been one of Nyenrode's official students' associations. The VAS has approximately 2,500 members.

The VAS influences Nyenrode's programs in a number of ways:

  • During the monthly Study Council, students give their opinion and vision on certain aspects of the program. The board uses this input for their advice to the Program Director.
  • The VAS represents the students in Nyenrode's Program Committee.
  • The VAS is closely liaised with the Dutch National Professional Accountancy Organization NAB, responsible for the three-year practical internship prior to obtaining the RA diploma.

There are a number of ways you can be actively involved. You may join the Study Council, the Activities Committee or the Complaints Committee; organizing various activities for VAS members and guarding their interests. The VAS and Nyenrode Business Universiteit aim for continued development as well as consistent quality of the program.
