Dr. Bin Yu is an Assistant Professor at Nyenrode Business University. He is part of Nyenrode's Faculty Research Center for Marketing & Supply Chain Management.

His main research topics are Behavioral Data Science and Data-Centric approaches in business innovation. Yu is interested in combining qualitative and quantitative methods in field studies to understand user behaviors and experiences, and leveraging emerging information and interaction technologies for facilitating behavior change.

Yu obtained a dual Bachelor degrees in Industrial Design and Biomedical Engineering at ChongQing Univeristy (2010). He obtained the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at NorthEastern Univeristy, China (2012) and his Ph.D. at the Eindhoven University of Techbology (2018). His dissertation was entitled ' Designing Biofeedback for Managing Stress'. Before he joined Nyenrode, he had worked in Philips Design for three years, focusing on Interactive Data Visualization for storying-telling and insight generation.
