Due to differences in interests, lack of transparency and the lack of representation, nature in the Netherlands is not optimally protected. Establishing natural legal entities may offer a solution. Prof Dr Tineke Lambooy, LLM, Corporate Law Professor at Nyenrode is doing innovative research into ‘natural legal entities’, as part of her research into ‘Rights of Nature’ in the Netherlands.

During the annual Thank The Donor Day on November 20, Stichting Nyenrode Fonds (SNF) thanked all alumni and other donors who have contributed to the university’s success.

The Nyenrode Fund will receive € 110,181.10 from the Province of Utrecht for the restoration of the garden wall and kitchen garden of the monumental Vegetable Garden complex at the estate.

Scholarship student Darren Aletoe: “I thought I knew myself pretty well, but through my time at Nyenrode I’ve discovered where I still have room for improvement.”

Rosa worked hard to build a successful career within medical science. Though, in the summer of 2018 she decided to change course, trading an academic hospital setting for a full-time MBA at Nyenrode in Amsterdam. Rosa: ‘I would rather create the protocols than implement them.’

After 17 years, the Nijenrode Rooster is back on the castle square, thanks to financial contributions from NOIB 1968 alumni and the work of the Nyenrode Fund.

This young entrepreneur had to leave Syria due to the civil war. Now he has been living In the Netherlands for 4 our years. With the sponsorship from the university, he was able to pursue the Full-Time MBA program at Nyenrode Amsterdam. Now he is graduated and ready for his next adventure: to start-up his own company!
