Starting in September 2018, the Post-Bachelor program in Controlling will also be offered in Aruba, by Nyenrode in collaboration with the University of Aruba.
“Aruba aims to offer more fully-fledged follow-on degree programs to people who are working and living there. Controlling is a field that is in high demand at the moment, so Nyenrode is a suitable collaboration partner. We strongly believe in our partners in Aruba, and they are very motivated to provide a high-quality program there,” explains Selma Spaas, Head of the Controlling Program.
The program will have the same structure and content as the Post-Bachelor in Controlling programs that Nyenrode is involved with in the Netherlands: at HAN, Fontys, Windesheim and in Rotterdam (Nyenrode).
The Post-Bachelor degree program features a broad curriculum with courses on finance, management and other supporting subject areas. Upon completion of the program, controllers are able to manage money flows efficiently and provide the board of an organization with sound and well-thought-out advice. The controller’s job is to get the organization moving. Students conclude the program by writing a final paper, thus earning a diploma at post-HBO (higher professional education) level.
Enrollment is open to anyone who has previously completed an HBO program in Business Economics, SPD or Accountancy, or a preparatory program at HBO level. If a sufficient number of students enroll, the Post-Bachelor program will begin in September.
