Our PhD School invites you to participate in our half-day introduction workshop to Systematic Literature Review. During this workshop you will learn how to apply a systematic and structured way of literature review to identify what is already “known” in in the context, field, area, etc. of your research focus and interest. Which is an important first step in your PhD Research.
After completion of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Distinguish the different types of systematic literature reviews
- Set up your own systematic literature review
- Realize the backwards and forwards looking function of a systematic literature review

Fee and Certificate
- The workshop fee is € 175,- for each participant. For PhD students in Nyenrode’s Individual PhD-track, the course fee (excluding material) is included in the yearly tuition fee.
- Participants outside Nyenrode’s Individual PhD-track who successfully complete the workshop, will receive a certificate.
Cancellation policy:
To have a meaningful learning experience and form a learning community, a sufficient number of participants need to take part in the workshop. If, by September 29th , 2025, there are not enough registrations, Nyenrode reserves the right to cancel the workshop. If Nyenrode cancels the workshop due to an insufficient number of participants or illness of the instructor, a full refund will be provided.
In the event of cancellation by the participant, the following cancellation fees will apply: 1) Free of charge up to four weeks prior to the date of the workshop, 2) 50% refund up to two weeks prior to the date of the workshop, 3) No refund for cancellations received within two weeks prior to the date of the workshop.
