Ik help deelnemers inzicht krijgen in de relevantie van financiën bij het managen van organisaties en help ze ontdekken hoe ze complexe financiële businesscases kunnen oplossen.
Prof. dr. Dennis Vink is hoogleraar Finance and Investment aan Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Hij maakt deel uit van het Nyenrode Faculty Expertisecenter Corporate Reporting, Finance & Tax. Vink doceert Corporate Finance en Strategic Financial Management. Daarnaast is hij actief als adviseur voor raden van bestuur en toezichthouders in zowel de publieke als de private sector, waaronder beursgenoteerde ondernemingen. Zijn onderzoek is meerdere malen gepresenteerd op de American Finance Association.
Hij schreef een aantal papers samen met Frank J. Fabozzi over financial engineering in (Europese) financiële markten. Hun werk verscheen onder meer als working papers bij het International Center for Finance at Yale School of Management, de De Nederlandsche Bank en de European Central Bank. Zijn werk is gepubliceerd in onder andere een aantal internationale academische Q1-tijdschriften, zoals het Journal of International Money and Finance, het Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money en European Financial Management. Dennis is daarnaast referent (reviewer) voor diverse top-10 financiële tijdschriften en voor de European Central Bank.
Daarnaast is hij vaste auteur bij het Het Financieele Dagblad en heeft hij een aantal boeken geschreven op het gebied van financieel management. Zo heeft het boek Financieel Inzicht voor Managers een toppositie op Managementboek.nl. De boeken Finance voor Managers en Special Topics in Finance worden gebruikt aan universiteiten en business schools in vier landen.
In 2019 heeft Vink het General Management Programma aan Harvard Business School afgerond. Hij behaalde zowel zijn Master of Science in Financial Management als zijn PhD (2007) aan Nyenrode Business Universiteit (1999). Daarnaast volgde hij nog aanvullende vakken aan het PhD Program in Finance in Tilburg (2003-2005) en aan de Cambridge Judge Business School (2013). Hij is lid van de American Finance Association, European Finance Association, European Financial Management Association en Midwest Finance Association.
Interesses
Zijn grootste hobby is tijd doorbrengen met zijn dochters gevolgd door hockey.
