Nyenrode Business
University is situated on a 60 hectare estate. The rich history of the estate
and its Castle goes back to the thirteenth century. You can still see many
historic features in and around the Castle, even though it was damaged and
restored several times over the centuries. On our estate you will find many
sights and monuments, such as the Rosarium, the Koetshuis and our Menagerie.
In 1946, the Netherlands International Education Institute NOIB was established in the Castle. The castle and estate were renovated to suit university campus life, and new facilities were built around the estate's woodlands over the years. Eventually, NOIB became Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
Due to construction works, the entrance to Nyenrode through the Poortgebouw at the Straatweg in Breukelen will be closed for all traffic as of March 1. This also includes cyclists and pedestrians.
During the closing, the construction dam next to the historic gate on the Straatweg will give access to all traffic.
Traffic signs will lead the way to the temporary entrance on the Straatweg. The exit to the Straatweg through the historic gate remains unchanged.
