Dr. Robin Edelbroek is a visiting fellow at Nyenrode Business University. He obtained his PhD in Organizational Behavior in 2024 at Nyenrode in 2024. His research is focused on the relationships between leadership and innovative work behavior of employees in hybrid work contexts and the role of intrapersonal and interpersonal mechanisms. He also holds Master of Science in Management from Nyenrode Business University and recently also completed the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Program at the Said Business School at Oxford University. During his studies, he completed several internships and exchange programs in the United Kingdom, Spain, Malaysia, and China. He is currently employed at Google at their European head offices in Dublin, where he advises the company’s clients and partners on their digital strategies using analyses of their customer’s behaviors.

Edelbroek presented his research at several academic conferences such as: the EAWOP (European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology) congress, 2019; the Academy of Management conference, 2019; the 19th ILERA World Congress, 2021; the 2022 Work and Family Researchers Network conference; and the XII International Workshop on Human Resource Management 2022. He published his research as articles in the Journal of General Management, Frontiers in Psychology, the European Journal of Management Studies, as well as a chapter to the book Virtual management and the New Normal: New Perspectives on HRM and leadership since the COVID-19 pandemic (Palgrave). 

Interests

Edelbroek has advised startups and scale-ups that harness Artificial Intelligence to promote better health as part of the Google for Startups: AI for Health program and co-founded a social enterprise focused on maximizing social impact within organizations. Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, he enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cultures, (playing) music, and photography.
