Dr. Vivian van Breemen is a research fellow at Nyenrode Business University. She has obtained her PhD in finance from Nyenrode in 2023. She is specialized in academic research on risks in the capital market. She has presented at several renowned international conferences such as the American Finance Association and published her work in the Journal of Financial Services Research, the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money and in Financial Markets, Institutions & Instruments.
Van Breemen obtained her Master’s degree in international economics from the University of Groningen in 2016. Where in 2018, she obtained her second Master’s degree in Financial Management at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. She is currently supervisor at the European Central Bank where she specializes in supervisory strategy and risks in the European banking sector.
Van Breemen worked together with researchers from the EDHEC Business School, European Central Bank and De Nederlandsche Bank. She presented her research at numerous international conferences such as the American Finance Association Conference, the Central Bank Research Association Conference at Columbia University, and the Paris Financial Management Conference.
Van Breemen likes to spend time with family and friends and doing sportive outdoor activities.
