‘In the past sports governance didn’t appeal to me all that much,’ says Esther Vergeer. The seven-time Paralympic tennis champion brought her sports career to an end in 2013, after topping the world rankings in wheelchair tennis for an unbroken run of 14 years. But she hasn’t been taking it easy since then. Besides her involvement in the Esther Vergeer Foundation, which she set up in 2004, she has been tournament director of the AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.
The past three years Jeroen Hulst has supervised soldiers, who during their period of service have been permanently sick, wounded or injured, to the Invictus Games. Now he becomes a board member of this international sports organization and he will join the Sports Leadership Program in April.
The 2018 Keuzegids (Selection Guide) for Master’s Programs has declared Nyenrode Business Universiteit’s Master’s programs in Business Administration and Master in Controlling as the “Best Masters” in the Netherlands.
On February 15, the second digital ecosystem roundtable took place at Nyenrode Business Universiteit, in partnership with T-Systems Netherlands. The topic was about digital entrants versus digital natives and how both deal with digital ecosystems with many stakeholders.
The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration and the part-time BSc in Accountancy at Nyenrode Business Universiteit were rated as the best programs in their category in the ‘Keuzegids Universiteiten 2018’ (selection guide for universities). The BSc in Business Administration even tied for first place in the ranking of all bachelor programs in the Netherlands.
