Since December 2022, there is a new Corporate Governance Code in place. This Code states that business leaders are responsible for sustainable long-term value creation and that companies must draw up policies for diversity and inclusion. Tineke Lambooy, Professor of Corporate Law at Nyenrode Business Universiteit, explains how business leaders can embed ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) values in their strategy.

Nature also needs rights to preserve biodiversity. Prof. Tineke Lambooy and Prof. Ronald Jeurissen identified and analyzed 409 initiatives worldwide, found in 39 countries.

On Saturday, June 4, Koen Becking, Rector Magnificus and Chairman of the Executive Board, as well as Elyas Razawi, former scholarship student of the BSc in Business Administration, officially launched the new Nyenrode Scholarship Fund. With a push of the red button, they gave the starting signal in a large tent on the estate during the lustrum festivities in honor of the 75th anniversary of Nyenrode Business University.

A small Nyenrode delegation visited the east coast of America at the end of March. The goal was to strengthen the relationship with the alumni there as well as build bridges in relation to exchanges, research and international education.

After an absence of more than 80 years, one of Nyenrode’s old bells has returned to the castle. The bell was once part of the bell ensemble that the lord of the castle, Michiel Onnes, had installed in the lantern on the onion-shaped tower in 1916. The purchase has been made partly possible with a donation from the Nyenrode community, facilitated by Stichting Nyenrode Fonds (Nyenrode Fund). Remmelt Vetkamp, vice-chairman of the University Board, accepted the bell on behalf of the university last February 7.

Alex Roepers, alumnus of the 1977 BBA at Nyenrode, left early 1981 for America to jump start his career. The connection Roepers always felt with Nyenrode has never faded. To make studying at Nyenrode possible for people with insufficient fund, he has realized four scholarships.

Gender stereotypes are the biggest barrier facing women in corporate jobs according to new research from Nyenrode Business University. According to the researchers, Rosalien van 't Foort-Diepeveen, Aikaterini Argyrou and Tineke Lambooy key barriers identified.
